- A low pressure system off the coast of South Carolina has become Tropical Storm Alberto. This is the first tropical storm of the season and has sustained winds of 60 mph. The center is located 140 miles east/southeast of Charleston, South Carolina. Movement is SW at 3 mph. A slow southwest motion is expected through Sunday with a turn to the northwest and then the north on Monday. Tropical storm watches may be needed along the South Carolina coast sometime tonight.
- Tropical Depression Aletta has become post-tropical and will continue to dissipate into tonight. This is the final advisory issued on Aletta.
- Another area of low pressure several hundred miles south of Acapulco is still being monitored for development.
- This low has not strengthened any over the last few days and remains disorganized at this time.
- Atmospheric conditions are only marginally favorable for slow development.
